Scalloped and Quilted Circle Card

I created this card, because I was inspired by a card designed by one of Stampin’ Up!®’s designers.  To see the original card, click here for my SU website project gallery.  However, I didn’t have most of what you see used in the original, I sat down with my stash and figured out what I needed.

I used my Coluzzle to cut out the largest circle from Close to Cocoa card stock.  Then I punched eight circles from Pretty in Pink card stock using the 1 3/8 inch Circle Punch.  I also cut out a Pretty in Pink Circle from the Coluzzle using the third circle from the center.  I used the fourth circle from the center to cut out a Purely Pomegranate circle.  (sorry about the retired in colors, my new catalog order is arriving next week!)

For the scalloped circle center, I did the exact same process as the original card, but used the retired Berry Bliss DS paper.  (sorry, retired again)  And, I didn’t have the circular rub-on they used as a sentiment so I put in some faux stitching.  Finally, the ribbon is White narrow grosgrain instead of the wide chocolate.

I was pleased with how it turned out, although the paper ‘quilt’ is a little time consuming.  I’m sorry I can’t post the original picture here on my blog, but SU! owns the rights to it, so you can view it on my Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Website under Creative Projects.  (or use the links provided above.)

If you haven’t yet, check out my Creative Projects gallery on my Stampin’ Up!® site.  The pictures and projects there are entirely different there, because all of those projects are from Stampin’ Up!® for your inspiration.  To find me go to http://crazystampgirl.stampinup.net .

Happy Stamping!
